Who's idea was this anyway?

In the 90 degree heat over the weekend we decided to take Allison to the annual Festival near us which included a craft fair, art show and of course the wonderful carnival! We had all we could do to get Allison to walk through the craft fair (which is my favorite part) without her saying "I wish I could go on rides now" every 2 minutes. But after she found a new flower necklace with rhinestone she was a little better.

Once we got to the rides, all she wanted to do was go on the Ferris wheel...the really big one. For some reason I got stuck in line with her for it and on we went. As we waited for the ride to fill up we go stopped near the top. As you can see from the picture below...we were up pretty high...and you can see Dad down on the ground looking up. Once we stopped Allison said to me "Mommy, why are you scared?" I didn't realize my fear was so obvious!! I am trying to decide if the fear was derived from the height of the ride or the fact that they were only filling up about a quarter of the seats before starting the ride. I couldn't help think that there was some good reason to only allow a few people on at once...a little old maybe? So let's just say...I will not be going on another Ferris wheel anytime soon.

Here the view from the top!

Have a great Monday!

  1. Did you do this design yourself? Very impressive and super cute - really like the new look!

Also love seeing your twin on the rides and you know you love it!
