First I will set the stage...a couple of weeks ago my husband decided to get an estimate on having our hardwood floors redone. To our surprise the price was so great he scheduled them right away...for Tuesday. They would be there for 3 days and told us we would not need to move out...it would not be a problem.
Tuesday comes and my husband was talking to someone about it and they said we really should not stay in the house with the fumes. Frantic, he calls me trying to figure out what to do. To make a really long short short we moved out and have been staying at my sister-in-laws' apartment all week (because the smell from the fumes WAS really unbearable). It was great the first night, fine the second night but the third....I had just about enough of my air mattress. Not to mention it has been the snowiest week ever! I have gotten spoiled with a garage so having to clean off my car every day this week has been less than enjoyable. But SO nice of her to let us stay there...none the less!!
But now we are home and I get to clean every inch of the house because there is a thin layer of dust from the sanding. Can you tell how thrilled I am?
However, the good news is the floors look BEAUTIFUL!!
