Every time I stop and fill up my car at the gas station near my house I see this posted on each gas pump:
How do you Prepay for something before you pay for it?? This is not a Mom and Pop little gas station....it is a national or international (not quite up on my fuel company knowledge!!) chain. If you look closely you can see someone else got as annoyed as I did and tried to scratch out "in Advance."
I want to know what you think...Is this correct grammar?
I am off to go hunker down for the huge storm rolling in....another 18 inches of the fluffy white stuff is on the way today!
Have a great Wednesday!

Yes, I agree it seems the correct way would be " PAY BEFORE YOU PUMP " !

LOL! I haven't seen that one. I usually see "Pay before you pump". I don't think it's correct grammar. It's like saying "New arrivals have arrived". When you get chance, follow me back!
