snackTAXI to the Rescue

I have been making my daughter's lunch for quite a while now and sending it with her each day to daycare. Now that she has started kindergarten, not only do we have to have lunch but we have to send snack too! I feel like I am using more and more Ziplock bags for anything and everything....because they are so easy.

Well after getting over my blond moment I remembered the coolest thing I bought a while ago. It is called a snackTAXI! It is a reusable bag made in different sizes for snacks and sandwiches and even in shopping bag size. I have 2 snack size pack and I absolutely LOVE them. I send them to school in my daughter's back pack every day with her snack.

They are super easy to clean and the snack size fits quite a bit for snack! They come in ton of colors and patterns. I love them all! Here is one of my current favorites!

I am happy about saving money on all the disposable sandwich bags and I am being a little "green" in the process!

Go check them out for yourselves at www.snacktaxi.com

Have a great weekend!

My Soccer Girl

It has been emotional enough with my daughter starting kindergarten, but every day something new seems to get to me! Last week she started Soccer lessons. We were not quite sure whether or not she would even want to go out on the field or try to kick the ball.

We pictured her just standing there with a sour look on her face (which we happen to see a lot). But she surprised us and had a great time. She is on the same team with her best friend and another friend that she has not seen in a while. So things are going great!

So it is really just Mom who needs to get her emotions is check and toughen up! The next hurdle is a field trip her class is taking in a few weeks. Field trip? She is not old enough for that is she! Yikes...yes she is.

Here she is (blondie in the middle) with her coach running some plays (LOL)

Here she is just hanging out at her cousin's game all dressed up in her "Sporty Spice" outfit!!

Have a great Tuesday!!

And off she goes...

The long awaited first day of Kindergarten has come and gone for my daughter. The whole process or registering, testing, school shopping, taking a bus ride with her and then watching her get on the bus alone and ride away....all felt so surreal.

I thought I could hold it together but I was sadly mistaken. I felt like the "Stalker Mom" instead of the "Soccer Mom" when I drove by the school (twice) just to catch a glimpse of her getting off the bus. How bad is that??

Here is my girl....

I am hoping as the days go by it will get easier....but I really don't think that will happen....it will likely get harder as she keep growing up before my eyes!

Have a great weekend!

Friday is the last day of my work week and so much more....

Well it is finally Friday again...the last day of the week before the weekend....and a lot of last for my daughter! She starts kindergarten next Thursday.

So for her this is the last Friday she will ever NOT be in school, the last Friday she gets to have the Ice Cream Truck at day care (huge deal for her), this is the last day she will be in her preschool room at daycare and this is the last day she will have to take a nap at school!! I am sure there are more I am forgetting but I think that is enough...right!

As emotional as I am, I am still very excited for her to start school, meet new friends and learn so much more! She is very excited too! We get to ride the bus with her on Monday, that should be adorable...I cannot wait!

No more lounging around at the pool for us!

Also....just a reminder that my GIVEAWAY ends on Monday so check it out at the link to the top right! Low entries so you have a great chance! Thank you and good luck.

Have a great weekend!!

Stop the Clock

The closer it gets to the first day of kindergarten for my daughter, the more I think about how time has gone by so fast. The first 5 years of her life are over and she is about to start a new chapter of her life. I really thought I had a handle on my emotions but that doesn't seem to be the case. As the day grows nearer, the more and more I find my emotions are getting the best of me. I also find myself just staring at her and watching her....do everything. It is so hard to believe how much she has grown and how time will go even faster now. I want to capture each moment in my mind forever.

During my unintentional blog break this week (not feeling great, kind of run down) I was looking through some pictures and came across this picture of my daughter. This was the day of her 5th birthday party. She was helping me decorate her birthday cake...more correctly....birthday Cupcake! She has a love of cupcakes just like me!

My lesson here is ....If I can't make the clock stop I have to be sure I capture everything with photos. I need to attach my camera to myself so I never leave home without it!

Have a great Thursday!
