Happy Halloween Weekend

It is so hard to believe that Halloween is here already.  Every year you get older time goes even faster....why is that?

This year my daughter is going to dress up as Princess Belle....I narrowly escaped her wanted to be Hannah Montana...phew!  Since she is very blond and Belle is a brunette, I went out and got her a dark wig....and when I say dark, I mean dark.  I did not realize that is was a black....and very very long.  So I tried it on to see what I would look like as a brunette.  Now that was funny.  No, I am not going to post a picture of me in the long luscious dark mane but it did get me thinking.  If I were going to a party this year....what would I wear???

Maybe a Witch?  Very safe...

Minnie Mouse? Kind of cute...

Umm...Huh?

I think I have found the perfect costume!

I could dress just like my daughter as Belle!  That would be a riot!  One of these days...I will do it!!

Have a great Halloween weekend!  Enjoy!

A table is not just a table...it is a work of art

Keeping with my Halloween / fall theme that has emerged this week I wanted to share with you some beautiful tablescapes I came across.  If I were to have a party I am sure I would drive myself insane tying to make it perfect and be exactly like the pictures.

Beautiful

Adorable

Very Vampire-esque

And for the kids

Have a great Thursday!

Crafty ideas for your Pumpkins

Since I have been unsuccessful at adding more hours to my day, I can only daydream about the crafty decorations and goodies I could make for the holidays if I just had more time in a day.  I love to look through magazines and the Internet for great ideas for when I have time in my day to make some.

These look super easy to make...mini pumpkins, ribbon and glue...simple!! Find it here

These spooky spiders would take no time at all.  Find it here.

This tasty treat would take much longer to make than to eat!  Find it here

And this one is my favorite....I would have never thought of putting rhinestones on pumpkins...very flashy!  Find it here

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

The best thing about Halloween

Every year at this time the stores start to fill up with Halloween decoration and candy. I am not a big candy eater (more of a chip gal) but there is one tiny morsel of delight I do try to get my fill of....

CANDY CORN

Here are some delectable candy corn inspired sweets I came across

Candy Corn MacaroonsThis tasty treat, Candy Corn Macaroons, can be found here.

Well here comes Halloween

Right on the heels of summer ending and school beginning....in comes the Halloween decorations, the Halloween, costumes, the Halloween candy...you get my point. Every year it seems like the put out the holiday paraphernalia earlier and earlier. But then I think about it and it really is not that far away.

Soon we will be trying to decide what to be for Halloween. This year I have no clue what my 5 year old will want to be. Other year were easy...Dora or any Princess...but this year...I am not sure yet. If I had to guess, it may be Hannah Montana! Wohoo! I guess it could be worse and I know in the years to follow we will see some good ones!

It got me thinking about my favorite costume from my childhood....I think it was when I dressed up as a hippie.

What is your favorite Halloween costume you can remember form your childhood??
